• RHYTHM

RHYTHM is the second 2024 initiative for CTC.

Rhythm Defined = Procedure or routine characterized by regularly recurring elements, activities, or factors; Flow, movement, procedure, etc. characterized by basically regular recurrence of elements or features, as beat, or accent, in alternation with opposite or different elements or features.

God created Life to run a Rhythm:

Eccl. 3:1 NLT ¶ For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. 2 A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. 3 A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. 4 A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. 5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. 6 A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. 7 A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. 8 A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.

“Solomon shows that God gives us rhythms in which our lives are to be lived—each of them different from the others, yet appropriate for the circumstance at hand. None of them represent a loss of rhythm, just a difference in the beat. Interestingly, the Hebrew word for time suggests an occasion or a season of time. In Greek, it is known as a Kairos moment. Solomon, therefore, is challenging us to love when it is time to love, to hate injustice when injustice is on display. When it is time to mourn, Solomon is saying that we should mourn in its fullness, and when it is time to dance, we should give it everything we’ve got. Solomon is speaking of rhythm. He is saying that the only way to live life to its fullest is to live a life of rhythm. Rhythm, maintains Solomon, enables us to handle difficult times the right way. In contrast, living outside of rhythm can make even the best of times a drudgery. Sadly, life outside of rhythm is the life that many have chosen to live. Yes, to a large extent, you get to decide whether you will live your life with rhythm or without rhythm. I hope you choose the former; it is a much better way to live. Solomon is also showing us that Rhythm is not a life void of trouble…but rather a life that manages trouble rather than letting trouble manage them." - Dr. Eugene Wilson - exert from his book RHYTHM.

Spiritual Rhythms were practiced throughout the Bible:

Psa. 119:164 KJV ¶ Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Dan. 6:10 NLT ¶ But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God. 11 Then the officials went together to Daniel’s house and found him praying and asking for God’s help.

Gal. 5:25 NKJV If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Jesus in His ministry had a RHYTHM of "Work, Pray, Rest".

Spiritual Activities must go beyond "what I make myself do" and instead be "who I am and what I do".

    They must become RHYTHMS!

The RHYTHM of a Believer doesn’t STOP and START…it runs STEADY…it CONQUERS…it CONQUESTS…it finds VICTORY!!

It’s DISCIPLINE that LASTS!!! OUR life must BEAT a LASTING RHYTHM.

If you start INTENTIONALLY structuring your LIFE around HIS RHYTHMSHIS RHYTHMS will beat in every area!!!

We don’t have to EDGE towards CHAOS!!

CHAOS doesn’t have to MANAGE us…we can MANAGE CHAOS through God’s RHYTHM.

RHYTHM is all about finding a Kingdom Life Pattern. We are to be actively seeking and setting a RHYTHM of devotion, dedication, doctrine and discipline

You may ask, "where do I start?"

    It's a simple answer!

Matt. 6:33 KJVS But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Utmost before anything else…we must put His Kingdom and Righteous living first!!

    Start with ETERNAL SPIRITUAL RHYTHMS.

From there move into what you might call (for lack of a better term) the TEMPORAL SPIRITUAL RHYTHMS”.

ETERNAL SPIRITUAL RHYTHMS equal but not limited to:

    • DEVOTION Prayer and the Word – Communication for Relationship. – Filling myself up with His Words.
    • FASTING Killing my Flesh.
    • CHURCH ATTENDANCE Receiving/Giving Strength of the Body, and Words from the Under-Shepherd.
    • GIVING Supporting the Kingdom.
FAMILY Ministering to those who have been placed in your care.
    • MINISTRY – Kingdom Involvement.
    • OUTREACH Reaching out beyond myself.

    TEMPORAL SPIRITUAL RHYTHMS:

    • MANAGING HOME.
    • MANAGING TIME.
    • MANAGING MONEY.
    • MANAGING CAREER.
    • MANAGING SCHOOL.
    • MANAGING HOBBIES.

It is not God’s will for His people to be overcome by Dysfunction and Chaos…we have been empowered to manage and rise above Dysfunction and Chaos.

    • RHYTHM looks like YOU:

The RHYTHM of doctrine is the same for all:

    • Doctrine of One God
      • Who God Is.
      • Jehovah incarnated in Jesus
    • Doctrine of Salvation
      • Repent
      • Baptism in Jesus name
      • Holy Ghost Infilling w Tongues
    • Doctrine of Sanctification
      • Grow in Giving
      • Grow in Maturity
      • Grow in Holiness

Outside of that…In your life, RHYTHM looks like YOU

…It doesn’t look like anyone else.

ETERNAL or TEMPORAL…it looks like you!!

You can’t march to anyone else’s drum.

You have to find your BEAT…not my BEAT…not anyone else’s BEAT

The thing about Rhythm is just make sure you STAY ON BEAT!!

He has empowered us to STAY ON BEAT!!

Staying on beat is a KEY part of RHYTHM.

So find your Kingdom RHYTHM and STAY ON BEAT!!

  • Intentional

Intentional is our first initiative of 2024.

Intentional Definition: Done on Purpose, Deliberate, Voluntary.

    • Not Accidental.

Believers must STAY rooted in Intentional Obedience!!

We serve an INTENTIONAL GOD, and we are made in His image and Likeness therefore we are to be INTENTIONAL.

Jer. 1:5 (NLT-SE) ¶ “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

Romans tells us how God is Intentional towards us:

Rom. 8:28 (NKJVS) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Ephesians 5 tells us what is to be our INTENTIONAL RESPONSE:

Eph. 5:1 (TEV) 3 SINCE YOU ARE GOD’S PEOPLE, IT IS NOT RIGHT THAT ANY MATTERS OF SEXUAL IMMORALITY OR INDECENCY OR GREED SHOULD EVEN BE MENTIONED AMONG YOU. 4 NOR IS IT FITTING FOR YOU TO USE LANGUAGE WHICH IS OBSCENE, PROFANE, OR VULGAR. RATHER YOU SHOULD GIVE THANKS TO GOD.  5 YOU MAY BE SURE THAT NO ONE WHO IS IMMORAL, INDECENT, OR GREEDY (FOR GREED IS A FORM OF IDOLATRY) WILL EVER RECEIVE A SHARE IN THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST AND OF GOD.

    10 TRY TO LEARN WHAT PLEASES THE LORD. 11 HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WORTHLESS THINGS THAT PEOPLE DO, THINGS THAT BELONG TO THE DARKNESS. INSTEAD, BRING THEM OUT TO THE LIGHT.  12 (IT IS REALLY TOO SHAMEFUL EVEN TO TALK ABOUT THE THINGS THEY DO IN SECRET.)  13 AND WHEN ALL THINGS ARE BROUGHT OUT TO THE LIGHT, THEN THEIR TRUE NATURE IS CLEARLY REVEALED;

15 SO BE CAREFUL HOW YOU LIVE. DON’T LIVE LIKE IGNORANT PEOPLE, BUT LIKE WISE PEOPLE. 16 MAKE GOOD USE OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE, BECAUSE THESE ARE EVIL DAYS. 17 DON’T BE FOOLS, THEN, BUT TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT THE LORD WANTS YOU TO DO. 18 DO NOT GET DRUNK WITH WINE, WHICH WILL ONLY RUIN YOU; INSTEAD, BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT. 19 SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER WITH THE WORDS OF PSALMS, HYMNS, AND SACRED SONGS; SING HYMNS AND PSALMS TO THE LORD WITH PRAISE IN YOUR HEARTS. 20 IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, ALWAYS GIVE THANKS FOR EVERYTHING TO GOD THE FATHER.

if you are truly going to be a Disciple of Jesus…you are going to have to BE Intentional.

Not just HAVING good intentions…but rather BEING intentional!!

  • Simplicity

2Cor. 11:3 (NKJV) But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

    • Simplicity = Greek – Haplotes – Singleness, Generous, Uncomplicated

    We must have a

    • Singleness of Heart
    • Singleness of Mind
    • Singleness of Spirit
    • Singleness of Vision

We must love the Lord with all of our heart, our soul (mind) and our strength!!

Simplicity is having a dedication and commitment for God that is shared with NO ONE and NOTHING else.

Simplicity is seeking FIRST the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.

Matt. 6:33 (KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We cannot be divided in heart towards Jesus, He is either Lord OF all or He is not Lord AT all, humanity CANNOT serve two masters...we cannot serve Self and Jesus, we cannot serve Satan and Jesus...we have to choose and the RIGHT CHOICE is the King of Kings and the Lord or Lords...Jesus Christ!!

    • Simplicity also means GENEROUS and LIBERALLY,

We must generously and liberally give ALL of ourselves to the King and His Kingdom. We must steward our Treasure, Time and Talent FOR Him. We must be ALL IN for Jesus.

    • Lastly, Simplicity means "Uncomplicated".

It's Simple to Live for God if I go HARD for Him!!

Here are 10 steps to "Simply Live For God":

    1. Love Jesus With All (Heart, Mind, Might)
    2. Experience Salvation (Acts 2:38 is the only way)
    3. Pray Daily (1 Hour is a good goal to build to)
    4. Fasting (Goal: No less than one day a week)
    5. Daily Word of God
    6. Attend more church than you miss
    7. Faithfully Steward (Treasure, Time, Talent)
    8. Live Sanctified (Progressing in Holiness, Changing)
    9. Discipleship (Be discipled and help disciple)
    10. Serve (Get involved)

Living for God does not have to be complicated, the Kingdom of God is not complicated...is Simple...if I give Him my ALL.

CTC is striving to be a "SIMPLE, UNCOMPLICATED, GENEROUS church with a SINGLENESS of Heart, Mind, Might and Vision!!

  • Conquest

Josh. 1:3 (KJV) Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Luke 10:19 (KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

At CTC we have RISEN UP, we are MOBILIZING for CONQUEST!!

As Kingdom dwellers we believe that God has given us the land (Liberty County) and it is up to us to "take territory".

We believe that the angels of God are mobilized, ministering and warring across this county.

The Last of the Last Days is here and it is time for the Kingdom of God to advance like never before through the local church.

From the church-house to our homes, from our homes to the field...

    ...We WILL have CONQUEST!

We WILL see evil powers FAIL!

We WILL see rulers of darkness BOW!!

We WILL see spiritual wickedness be OVERTAKEN!!

    We WILL see strongholds CRUMBLE!!

...As we ADVANCE in CONQUEST and TAKE TERRITORY!!

  • Mobilize

MOBILIZE is a Synergetic Discipleship Initiative between the Church, the Home, the Community and the Digital Nation.

There are 5 layers of the MOBILIZE Initiative.

    1. The Church-House - We receive our directives, training, strength, unity, spiritual food and prophetic anointing from gathering together with believers. We gather to disperse. We take what we have learned, we take the spiritual directives and we MOBILIZE to...

    2. The Home - We gather in homes to provide discipleship and fellowship. We take dominion and pray blessings upon the homes as well as the surrounding community.

    3. Hi-ways & Bi-ways - We "Possess the Land" through corporate teams mobilizing for prayer walks, evangelism, prayer drives, etc.

    4. Boots on the Ground - We "Take Territory" through individuals sowing seed, walking their neighborhood and taking dominion through prayer and prophetic utterance.

    5. The Digital Nation - In 2020, over 3.6 billion people were using social media worldwide, a number projected to increase to almost 4.41 billion in 2025. That is more people than the population of China. While we believe that "gathering" for church service is the utmost importance and a Biblical mandate, we also have a burden to reach those in the "Digital Nation" through uploading God's Word in digital format on various social media fronts. We must RISE UP and MOBILIZE FOR DISCIPLESHIP & CONQUEST!!
